What is Impact Minds

Latimpacto's conference, Impact Minds, is more than an event: it is a meeting point where ideas, strategy, and capital connect to transform realities. It brings together major capital providers from around the world who share a vision of impact for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Designed to inspire genuine participation, Impact Minds invites every participant to take a leading role: connect, learn, and co-create solutions that mobilize capital for the social and environmental impact our region needs.

Where Impact Connects Latin America

Cartagena is a city where history, diversity and a deep connection with the Caribbean come together, making it a strategic setting to drive conversations on impact, sustainable development and social innovation in Latin America.

Its cultural richness and its place as a meeting point between territories and communities offer a unique stage for the next edition of Impact Minds: connecting people, experiences and solutions that reflect the potential of Colombia and the whole region.

From Cartagena, Impact Minds will keep strengthening a community that believes in the power of connections and collective action to transform Latin America.

The Four Key Connections

In 2026, Connecting Us was the guiding theme of Impact Minds, an invitation to go beyond collaboration and strengthen connections with purpose.

Throughout the edition, we connected intentions, capital, actors, and systems, bringing together different sectors, financial instruments, and strategies to drive actions capable of creating systemic impact.

More than bringing a community together, Connecting Us reinforced the importance of connecting better to transform not only projects, but also the systems that shape our realities.

The agenda was built from more than 160 proposals submitted by Latimpacto members.

  • Intentions

    Purpose and strategic clarity

Bring clarity to purpose, articulate a coherent theory of change, and make sure the capital matches the results being sought.

  • Capital

    The continuum of instruments

From philanthropy to market investment: knowing when concessional capital is needed and when markets are ready to scale.

  • Actors

    Ecosystem and collaboration

Productive dialogue across sectors and geographies so capital providers, implementers, and communities co-create solutions.

  • Systems

    Structural impact

Link interventions to structural change and align private capital with public policy, toward lasting systemic change.

From connections to action

At Impact Minds 2026, Latimpacto presented three initiatives that turn collaboration into concrete mechanisms for the region.

Culture Fund

Second cohort

In partnership with the SURA Foundation, Latimpacto is preparing the second edition of the Culture Latin America Call (2026–2027), which will select 10 binational projects from eight countries, with funding of up to USD 100,000 per project. The new cohort builds on the first edition, which supported 15 binational projects in seven countries, combining funding and capacity building.

Eligible countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic and Uruguay.

Democracy and citizenship

#PensarConOtros

Grupo SURA, the SURA Foundation and the Bolívar Davivienda Foundation, with Latimpacto's support, launched the sixth edition of #PensarConOtros, which seeks to select and fund 10 initiatives in 11 Latin American countries. The call, open until October 22, 2026, will support projects that build citizens' capacities to take part in public affairs and women's participation in democracy, with grants of up to USD 50,000 per initiative.

Eligible countries: Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica.

Bioeconomy from the territories

Entre Selvas: Living Territories

Latimpacto moves forward with Entre Selvas: Living Territories, a three-year initiative to strengthen the socio-bioeconomy in the Chocó–Amazon corridor. The project aims to strengthen at least 24 initiatives, provide catalytic funding to at least eight and connect public, private, philanthropic and community actors. The long-term goal is to turn capacity building and market connections into greater capital mobilization, including structuring a Catalytic Bioeconomy Fund for Colombia.

24initiatives strengthened

All three initiatives share one commitment: moving from connecting actors to building partnerships that mobilize knowledge, capabilities and capital for concrete solutions for the region.
